Film and music elevate each other and the FCFF is proud to be bringing a celebration of the art of music videos to the festival starting this year. We will gather the best group of music videos connected to the region of Southwestern Ontario and on the first evening of the 2020 festival we will put on a great showcase of the superb talent that this region offers. Student Music Video category, where at least 50% of the creative team is currently enrolled secondary or post-secondary educational institutions in Southwestern Ontario, are eligible to submit their music videos.
General Music Video category
General Music Video category, where any member of the key creative team is from Southwestern Ontario, or the music video was at least partially produced in the region, are eligible.
Judge
Neil Haverty - Senior Manager, MVP Project / Prism Prize at the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. Neil Haverty oversees multiple initiatives that aim to spotlight artistry in the Canadian music video industry. The Prism Prize was established in 2012 to recognize extraordinary achievement within the field. The MVP Project, a joint initiative with RBCxMusic, was recently launched to assist in the creation of new music video work by way of production grants for emerging artist teams (comprised of recording artists, directors and producers). Haverty also works as a film composer and musician, most notably as a founding member of Toronto-based ensemble Bruce Peninsula.
Details
The overall winner in each category will receive a $500 cash prize. All other winners will receive Downtown Dollars. Music videos must be completed after January 1, 2018. All genres, video length and styles are welcome.

The creators of the accepted videos will be notified August 1, 2020.
