About Jen:

Jennifer Broxterman is the founder and head Registered Dietitian at NutritionRx, which she opened in 2010. Her approach encourages people to build a happy and healthy relationship with food through habits-based behaviour change, mindset shifts, and creating supportive environments. With so much client success and incoming referrals, she's grown her team to bring on more like-minded RDs. Over the years she’s worked with thousands of people, ranging from everyday folks to NHL hockey players and Olympic athletes, supporting their healthy eating and performance goals.

Carly

Emotional Support Office Dog, Black Lab and #1 Cuddler

About Carly:

Carly is a black lab who has been with Jen and NutritionRx since 2009. She was originally being trained to be an autism guide dog, but unfortunately flunked out of service dog school because of her overly-friendly personality (as if that’s even a flaw!), and was adopted permanently by Jen.

Carly loves swimming, chasing balls and sticks, snuggling with her favourite humans, and offering kisses and tail wags to new clients.

As a dog-friendly office, Carly hangs out at NutritionRx whenever Jennifer is counselling her nutrition clients. Although Carly may be a failed service dog, she has embraced her role as a ‘therapy dog’ with her whole heart and will give you abundant love and support as you work hard to accomplish your nutrition goals. She usually sleeps in the corner of the NutritionRx office on her bed during client sessions. If you have an allergy or fear of dogs, please alert our team prior to your initial assessment and arrangements can be made to have Carly stay at home.
